The traditional sea houses, some of them older than Bryggen, and a harbor filled with traditional boats, offers a great setting around the Norwegian traditions of fisheries and hunting by the coast line and out to sea. The long coast, all the islands and fjords have made a seafaring people of the Norwegians. At all times the bountiful seas have provided a living for the settlers. New main exhibition from May 2011.
