The City Park
The delightful city park (Byparken) that lies at the heart of Bergen offers a great deal to attract the visitor. It is flanked on one side by Festplassen, the celebration square, which is host to numerous events, most notably the Norwegian National Day celebrations. The park is attractively landscaped and contains several interesting and notable sculptures. At its heart is the Lille Lungegaardsvann, a sizeable lake. It is a lovely place to relax or enjoy a picnic during the bright days of summer.
